The graceful glide and the wind in the sails of the moving yacht is a reminder of the power that can be harnessed from nature.

Nature us not only powerful, but beautiful. The pāua shell that can be found on the beach or attached to rocks at low tide is a token of this beauty. This shimmering, bluey, green, shinny object is just as eye catching when seen under water as it is on dry land.

As the hull of a yacht spends most of its life under water it seemed fitting to blend the two together to make a pāua filled boat.

Production	Solid wooden frames with composite layers that are hand painted with acrylic and oil-based paints. Pieces of thin shell are added as inlay details, and clear epoxy resin used to provide visual emphasis.
